Belated Happy Easter!

OK, it looks like I have just missed Easter by minutes, but thought better to send this out now before the holiday period is completely over!

So what’s in the news for Warleggan?

  • First and foremost, a belated Happy Easter!!
  • Finally, if you haven’t yet subscribed for the coming year, now is the time to invest £12 in the Jubilee Hall’s 100 Club, giving you the chance of winning up to £30 in any of the monthly draws (or even £50 if you strike it lucky in the Christmas draw) – and all the time you’ll know you’re helping us keep the Hall going, and keeping our hire-out rates amazingly low.  It’s worth thinking about!

Keep warm and keep smiling

Chris

Entertainment tomorrow night

A quick reminder:

If you haven’t yet booked your tickets for tomorrow night’s Carn to Cove event at the Jubilee Hall tomorrow night, Friday 8th Feb, call Gill on 01208 821494, or find her at Village Greens at the Jubilee Hall tomorrow morning;  she’ll be there around 10 to 10.30am, possibly longer!

So what is it?  It’s A Love Like Salt, by the Devil’s Violin Company   –  tickets £8 full ~ £6 concession/child ~ £22 family  – a great evening of music and story-telling…

‘Intelligent, delicate and mature, A Love Like Salt is terrific’  –  With their unique combination of live music and timeless tales, the DVC weave a powerful spell of melody and mood. Unforgettable images, haunting melodies….don’t miss it!

Not sure?  Read the reviews by those who have already seen this during their tour around the country.

New Year 2013

Happy New Year Everyone!

Part of the Luxulyan Valley walk

Coming up:  New Year’s Day Luxulyan Walk, organised by History Club, all welcome.  The weather looks promising (relatively speaking) and the walk is largely on hard surfaced paths.  It’ll be followed by refreshments at the Jubilee Hall, and there’s a good number already planning to go, so please let Gill know (on 821494)  if you’d like to come along.  There are two options – a shorter walk and, for those with the spare energy, a longer walk.

Hopefully it will be sunny too!

Meet at 11am prompt, 1st January, Jubilee Hall, and we’ll head off from there.  If you’re thinking of coming, please check out this information first, with details about route, logistics, etc.  Also, why not check out the ‘Friends of Luxulyan’ website – some of whose  pics you can see here – for more info about the valley and its history, and more photos to inspire you!
