Football in Mount

ST NEOT AFC UPDATE (Feb 2026)
The Club would like to thank everyone who supported our first-ever prize draw on
31 December. We are delighted to have raised £1,250, which will make a real difference in supporting the club’s continued development.

In our first season in the St Piran’s League, the club has made excellent progress
on and off the pitch, supported by strong backing from our local community and
sponsors. Funding applications are underway to improve facilities, but league regulations require shower facilities to be in place for next season. This is a significant
challenge, but a vital step in the club’s long-term progress.

The club is also welcoming expressions of interest from anyone who would like to
help establish a junior section. This has been a key ambition since the club’s restart, helping to provide football opportunities for children through to adults. If you are interested or know someone who may be, please contact a committee member
or email stneotfootball@gmail.com.

A friendly request for assistance on parking, we have asked for the cooperation of
visitors on matchdays to avoid parking on the junction at the Home Field for safety
and consideration of our neighbours. Recent congestion was due to slippery field
access limiting on-site parking. Thank you for your understanding and continued
support. Up the Neot

THE OPENING OF THE FIELD – 7 SEPTEMBER 2025

What a great opening match for the new field in Mount! Two teams from St Neot battled it out in the afternoon sunshine on grass well watered after a morning of rain.

On Sunday 7 September 2025, the beautifully prepared football ground was blessed in a short ceremony, before play started at 2pm, ably refereed by Gary R.

Friends from St Neot, Mount and Warleggan gathered to watch as New St Neot beat Old St Neot by four goals to three, to win the Chairman’s Cup.

Thanks go to the committee, the community and the players, of course, and also to Pelynt Garage, Inkie’s Smokehouse BBQ, the London Inn, Windmill Windows Ltd, C&A Fencing and Building, and the Warleggan Jubilee Hall. Thanks also go to CreativeCorn* for many of the photos reproduced above.
