With the corona virus affecting so much of our day-to-day lives, here’s a summary of posts and news.
>> Church goes online – including services and prayers etc.
>> Village Greens’ weekly food supplies (Jubilee Hall, Mount) – collect or delivery
>> Get help with shopping and prescriptions (contact* this website – formal and informal means)
>> Keep up to date with Mount and Warleggan Facebook page*
Bring some colour to your garden – Gina’s got some spare primroses – check the hedge in front of her house – help yourself; head up towards the top of the hill in Mount and you’ll see them on your left.
There’s lots happening over the next seven days:
A parish meeting tonight (18 April 2019), 7.30 pm Jubilee Hall, with elections of officers, local news, local issues (crime, traffic, street lighting, etc.) – see agenda, right – more details at our Parish Meetings webpage
Good Friday and Easter services and events – see Church and Chapel
(note there is NO village greens shop at the hall on Good Friday)
Sat 20 April, 10 am: Scouts Plant Sale, St Neot Playing Field
Wed 24 April, 7.30 pm – “The Story of the Thousands of Belgian Refugees who came to Devon & Cornwall during the Great War” – History Club talk, open to all – info
Thurs 25 April, 7.30 pm: Team Viking – a humorous story-telling act, with live music – Carn to Cove – this has performed at Edinburgh fringe, had rave reviews and won the Vault Festival Origins Award – well worth seeing – reserve your seats now! – info and reservations
Yes – we’ve got two upcoming events to tickle your fancy:
Tomorrow, Friday 5th Oct, it’s Skittles Night – with many of our regulars not able to come this time (Liz and Andrew, Jasmina, Dee and Tony, amongst others), it’s a good time to have a go if you haven’t tried it before – all ages and abilities welcome – it’s all very informal, bring your own drinks, there’ll be some pasties etc for sale – should be fun.

Then in just two weeks’ time, we’ve got Charlie Bicknell, Shameless Angel, a cabaret act coming to the Jubilee Hall – supported by Carn to Cove, it’s not suitable for those easily shocked or offended, or under-14s – Friday 19 October, 7.30 pm.
